About this course
The 2-year course offers a progression route for electricians, plumbers, and air-conditioning technicians, working in domestic and commercial settings. The course is relevant to those wanting to progress to design or leadership positions and those who want to go on to degrees.
The course requires you to have a Level 3 qualification in electrical, plumbing and air-con/refrigeration.
The course requires good English and Maths skills.
Mature students with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience but without Level 3 qualifications can be individually assessed. They will need to attend an assessment interview before course registration.
This course leads to a Pearson Edexcel accredited BTEC Level 4 HNC in Construction and the Built Environment (BSE).
This qualification is recognised by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) as well as the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers (CIPHE).
