If your aim is to work in the ever changing and expanding media industry then this is the course for you. We pride ourselves on offering creative, practical and vocational routes into higher education with this HND focused on moving image production. You will gain invaluable practical skills in a variety of disciplines from short films in fiction to production and documentary. Learn lighting, camera work and editing as well as gaining industry knowledge to survive in this competitive industry. You will be stretched academically and where opportunities arise to work with real clients. During the course you will work with a range of cutting-edge equipment, and have access to workshops, on-line digital editing suites, digital SLR cameras and a fully equipped HD television studio and gallery including chroma-key. You will learn from a course team of professionals with extensive experience in video production and freelancing in the media industry. From these experienced and dedicated tutors you will learn new skills and develop experiences in a number of specialist techniques and approaches. We will develop your creative potential while improving your understanding of how to succeed in the creative media industry. You'll train in our dedicated facilities which include a TV studio and a Mac editing suite together with a range of classrooms and facilities on campus available to you including digital recording studios. All tutors are active within the industry and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to call upon giving you the best opportunity to progress in your chosen career. To access this course you are required to have: Two A Levels or a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma Good written and oral English Evidence of interest / involvement in the media industry An interview and reference You must be aged 18 or above to study a HNC/D qualification
