You will also study twelve specialist units which may include:
· Statistics for science technicians
· Physiology of human body systems
· Microbiological techniques
· Chemical laboratory techniques
· Criminology
· Forensic evidence and collection analysis
· Criminal psychology
· Forensic psychology
· Traffic accident investigation
· Criminal investigation practice
· Forensic media and crime.

On successful completion you may:
Progress to higher education to study courses such as the FdSc
Environmental Health at Weston College, which is run in partnership with the University of West of England, or degrees in Forensic Science, Biomedical Science, Environmental Science or Law.
Or
Start a career as a Crime Scene Investigator or in the police force.
Achieving this qualification will give you the equivalent of 3 A Levels and provide entry to degree level study.
