The first year of the course is designed to allow students to experience a wide range of specialisms including life drawing, printmaking, painting, 3D design, sculpture, photography, computer aided art and design, art history and contemporary studies, craft, life drawing and textiles. Field trips and gallery visits to Manchester, Liverpool and London enrich and underpin practical work in these subject specialisms.
