Students who enter with one of the following are likely to benefit more readily from the programme: · A GCSE equivalent to five passes at grade C, or above, including English. Learners who are intending to progress to teaching are likely to require English, Maths and Science as GCSE passes. Mature learners may be accepted onto the programme following interview.

further optional units to complete the award. Vocational practice for learners is an essential vehicle for the achievement of the course aims.

Assessment procedure:
Assessment of the BTEC National Diploma in Children's Care, Learning & Development is based on evidence derived from portfolio work, successful completion of Professional Pratice Placements.
