Where will I study?
Baltic Campus
You'll be based at our fantastic £39million Baltic campus on the quayside. The campus has a prime location on Gateshead quayside, and state-of-the-art facilities including a Jacuzzi, gym and sauna, a 200 seat theatre, state-of-the-art classrooms, training kitchen and restaurant, refectory, bistro and vending areas.
What do I need?
4 GCSEs (grade C and above) or GNVQ Intermediate in Art and Design. What will I study?

How will I be assessed?
Project work is assessed 3 times a year, with students given clear written feedback with regards to their progress. Students are also supported throughout the year by lecturers to ensure that they are able to reach their potential.
The programme is also structured for students to achieve a National Award within the first year of study.
How will I be taught?
All the Art and Design staff are professionally qualified teachers, working as practising artists/designers in their own right. They have extensive skills and knowledge to ensure that you develop your potential whilst on the course.
Lecturers are experienced, supportive and enthusiastic people who will encourage you to take advantages of all the opportunities available in college.
What qualification will I get?
A BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design, equivalent to 3 A levels - grade A-C.
Can I go on to further study?
You could go on to study a Foundation Degree, or BA in Graphic Design, Games Design, Advertising, Animation, Package Design, Illustration or Multimedia Design.
All students who have completed the National Diploma have been successful when applying to degree courses, moving on to degrees in Graphic Design, Illustration, Advertising, Character Design and Animation amongst others.
Students looking for work have found employment with advertising, games and design companies.
