Mature students may be able to gain accreditation for prior learning by arrangement with the Course Coordinator.

Who the Course is For:
The BTEC National Diploma is a technician level full time course. The student learns by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you develop the skills you need to start or progress in an engineering career. Some universities allow this qualification as an entry requirement to their degree programmes.
Assessment:
Continual assessment processes including assignments, and the assessment of any practical or theoretical projects and laboratory investigations. Some units have tests and examinations.
Course Leads To:
Promotion in the Engineering Industry at Technician Level; HNC or Foundation Degree.
