Employment, or students could progress onto a degree or a BTEC Higher National program in subjects such as Performing Arts and Performance Design.
What will I need to qualify for this course?
In order to qualify for this course, students will need either; *A BTEC First Certificate in a related subject, *A Diploma in a related subject (at least a merit), *An Intermediate GNVQ in a related subject (at least a merit), *At least 4 GCSEs at grade A*-C. All applicants must be able to demonstrate past experience of involvement in performance. All applicants will undertake an audition at interview stage.
Course Structure
In order to gain a full BTEC National Diploma in Performing Arts (Acting) these units will be studied; All students take five core units: *Performance Workshop, *Historical Context of Performance, *Rehearsing for Performance, *Performing Arts Business, *Performing to an Audience. These units contribute towards the externally assessed Final Major Project (FMP). Students also take twelve specialist units which cover: *Acting, *Music Performance, *Voice, *Movement. The course requires that all students should be prepared to undertake training and development in all skills areas.
