Building a high performing team
Businesses increasingly need to develop people at all levels who have the skills to move between project teams and work groups. To achieve this, we focus on the underlying principles of high performance and the development of long-term skills, such as building individual and collective accountability and generating trust and commitment.

We help people understand the strength of collective working. We ensure they develop clear insights into themselves and see how they can help a team move quickly towards high performance. Participants develop the ability to identify and share the strengths, weaknesses and preferences in ways of working that they bring to a team environment. We then add another vital dimension - the ability to appreciate the importance of blending quickly into a new team.

Depending on particular client needs, course content explores:
  • Assessing what the team currently looks like, including individual leadership styles
  • Assessing personal profiles, strengths and weaknesses
  • Exploring the components of high-performing team behaviour and attitudes
  • Understanding the culture of teams and how organisational culture impacts team performance
  • Improving skills in managing conflict
  • Improving skills in giving and receiving feedback
  • Understanding the team performance curve and how it leads to self-managing teams
  • Recognising the organisational elements that reward teamwork
  • Measuring team performance in terms of both content and process
  • Exploring leadership roles and styles, and assessing their effectiveness in different situations.
