Description
An NVQ is based on providing competence in areas of administration within a typical office environment. The qualification is divided into several areas:
Answering questions on skills and knowledge
Providing work products that you have produced as part of your job role.
Observations by an NVQ Assessor who will record what you do in your job role.
Witness testimonies a signed statement from your Manager or Supervisor to
verify that you are competent in a certain area/s.
Course Length
9 12 months. As you work at your own pace some people achieve in a shorter time.

How will I learn?
You will be given a list of mandatory and option units to select those options that best reflect your job role. Help will be given on how to put a portfolio together, gather appropriate evidence and answer the underpinning skills and knowledge. Attendance can be by day release or in-house at your place of work.
How will I be assessed?
An individual learning plan will guide you through the units, with support and feedback from your college tutor and NVQ assessor. Assessment plans will also be drawn up to advise on what type of evidence to collect. Your Assessor will then verify your evidence and sign off the units when sufficient evidence has been recorded.
