Business - A and AS Levels

What are the main features of this course?
The Course offers a general introduction to the nature of business, followed by an opportunity to study certain aspects in greater depth and to investigate real business problems.
The first year is the AS level course which is made up of two modules.
Module 1: An introduction to Business
Module 2: Business Functions
Students who want to achieve the 'A' level then take a second year.
You will study two further modules. One of these will be Strategic Management where you will be expected to make connections between different elements of the whole course.

How is the course assessed?

The course is modular with two modules examined in each year. Modules will be examined in January and June. Modules are examined through data response or questions related to a business case study.

Who should study this course?

You should consider taking this course if you wish to find out more about how business organisations function and if you enjoy researching information for yourself.
Entry to this course will depend upon fulfilling the college's usual A level entry requirements. In addition, we will wish to ensure that you have Maths at Grade D or above and a C in English Language to cope with the demands of the course.

Where can I go next?
This course is an acceptable entry qualification for entry into management training in a variety of business organisations as well as for Higher Education.
