Additional Information: Students may be asked to demonstrate good skills of numeracy and written English. In addition, students should be well organised, motivated, with a high level of commitment and be able to work to tight coursework deadlines throughout the year.

COURSE OUTLINE
A one year full-time course for students who seek employment in the business sector or to go on to a further business education course. It is equivalent to 4 GCSEs at Grades A-C. Students will follow 1 Core Unit and 5 Specialist units. The units covered will be:

Assessment:
The course is assessed entirely through coursework. There are no examinations or externally set tests. All the above units will be assessed through assignments.

Progression:
An overall course grade Distinction is equal to 4 GCSE passes at Grade A. This is a nationally recognised qualification, which will enable students to either enter employment or progress to a higher qualification, such as BTEC National Diploma in Business, depending on the achievement of the necessary grades.
