Business - BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma

You will develop your knowledge and understanding of business and the business world, and will study three pathways: business, management and marketing. During the two-year course, you will study 18 units covering a variety of business topics, including:

• Starting a Small Business
• Creative Product Promotion
• Internet Marketing
• Managing a Business Event
• Developing Teams in Business

You will also develop valuable employability skills in addition to skills in communication, numeracy and IT.

You'll need:

• 4 GCSEs at Grade A*- C, including English and Maths, or
• BTEC Level 2 Diploma with a Merit or Distinction and Functional Skills at Level 2
• A good reference, interview and assessment. Your commitment and interest in the subject will also be assessed during the interview process.

You will be assessed through coursework.

On successful completion of the course, you will achieve the BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Business. This qualification is equivalent to 3 A Levels and is worth up to 420 UCAS points. Following the course, you can progress to university to study a business degree, including specialisms such as Accounting, Business Management, Marketing or Human Resources. You can also progress to employment in areas such as business management, marketing, finance and retail. Alternatively you can study for an apprenticeship.
