About this course

Our BSc (Hons) Business Economics gives you the theoretical and practical knowledge you’ll need to work as an economist. It also provides a basis for a wide range of careers in industry, business and the public sector.

On graduation, you could choose to progress to postgraduate studies in economics, or in a variety of business- and policy-related disciplines.

Or, when you graduate, you might choose to pursue further study, such as our MSc Management, MSc International Business or our MBA.

Our seminars are a lively mix of formats, involving teamwork, problem solving and presentations. Meanwhile, your coursework will help you to develop skills in time management, literature review, critical evaluation and communication – all very desirable skills in the workplace.

Throughout the course, you’ll benefit from lectures and seminars on careers, looking at CV preparation, job-hunting, obtaining work experience and using social media. We’ll encourage you to reflect on your strengths and areas for development, and to make plans to strengthen your skills and experience in preparation for your career.

What I would highlight: There are lots of aspects of this uni that I dislike as seen by my marking above. The course and job prospects are quite good. However, I really think the university looks quite tired and old compared to other Cambridge universities. If I had a choice again I would maybe have chosen a better uni.

What I would highlight: I do enjoy the life at Anglia Ruskin campus and it has really good studying facilities. I find I can study a lot easier in college than I do at home, so I am always making use of these great facilities. I also enjoy being apart of many of the uni's sports clubs and gym.

You can expect an interesting mix of coursework, essays, exams and activity-based assignments.
