Overview
If you have the ability but not the qualifications, an extended degree is the first step to graduation. This four-year programme is identical to the three-year degree, but includes a foundation year, and has a lower entry tariff.
First you'll get a solid grounding in academic skills and an introduction to broad business concepts. Then progress onto this rewarding analytical business degree which will prepare you for a career in business development and management by teaching you how to use quantifiable data and models to make successful decisions and solve problems.
Foundation year
The foundation year is designed to give you:
A thorough introduction to business
Essential computing skills
Improved communication
Academic writing skills
An understanding of enterprise, leadership and ethics
The ability to manage your studies independently.
Employability
You will connect with employers through our dedicated Business School Employability Team who focus on developing your employment skills. They also provide you with CV support and will invite you to employment fairs to network with employers and recruiters from industries. The team was shortlisted for the Times Higher Education Leadership and Management Awards.
We are actively improving job prospects for graduates through the support we provide. According to survey findings, 93 per cent of 2014/15 Greenwich graduates looking for work were already in jobs or further study by January 2016.
Experience abroad
You can participate in the Erasmus+ international exchange programme. This will help improve your language skills and give you experience of living and working in another country. The Erasmus+ Scheme provides a grant towards the cost of studying abroad for a year.
