Course Description

You will be required to sit for written examinations in a public exam centre with all other ABE students. The qualification has 3 levels: Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma. Students may choose to enter a UK university to obtain a degree. Entry level of a degree course depends on the grades received. Usually an Advanced Diploma holder will be able to enter final year degree programme. The detailed modules are listed below.

PART 1
All four subjects must be passed.

PART 2
Four compulsory subjects:
Marketing
Human Resource Management
Quantitative Methods
Managerial Accounting

Plus one from the following options:
Principles of Business Law
Systems Analysis

ADVANCED DIPLOMA = University 2nd Year

Three compulsory subjects:
-Corporate Strategy and Planning
-Managing Organisation
-International Business

Plus two from the following options:
-Strategic Marketing
-Corporate Finance
-Strategic Human Resource Management
-Managing the Information Resource

University Top Up – Final Year
Once you complete and pass the Advanced Diploma the students are eligible to enter University Final Year. On completion of this final year top up the students will be awarded by the university that they attend.

Common final year top up degrees: BA (Hons) Business Administration; BA (Hons) International Business Administration; BA (Hons) Global Marketing; BA (Hons) Business Studies; BA (Hons) Business Management; BA (Hons) International Business; etc.

Assessment

-Assessment method: written examination
-Length of examination: three hours
-Candidates should answer four questions from a choice of eight, eachquestion carrying equal marks
-Grades are awarded as follow:
Grade A - 70%+ Distinction
Grade B - 55-69% Credit
Grade C - 40-54% Pass
Grade D - 30-39% Fail
Grade E - 29% and below Fail

Duration of Programme
Certificate – 6 months to 1 year / Diploma – 1 Year / Advanced Diploma – 1 Year.
