The Business of Communication

This programme enables delegates to develop and fine tune their communication skills by exploring the purpose of communication and discovering why we all communication differently. Delegates will uncover their own communication styles and preferences and learn how to identify preferences in other people. They will discover how to identify the impact of their communication on others and develop the skills to become highly effective and flexible communicators.

This programme is taught in the context of specific business situations including general business communication, communicating with customers and suppliers, writing and delivering presentations and proposals, dealing with difficult situations, interdepartmental communication, communication across cultures and managing meetings. The contexts can be adapted to suit specific business needs.

As a delegate you will learn:

  • how you and others filter the world and how to respond to it
  • how we process information including our own preferences and how to adapt to others preferences
  • setting communication outcomes
  • building rapport, the key to successful business relationships
  • how to observe other people and avoid judgement
