Kingston University supports our graduates with the new Tier 1 (Graduate Entrepreneur) visa. This allows non-EEA graduates who have an outstanding business idea to put into practice in the UK, and who do not have a job offer, the opportunity to stay in the UK for up to 12 months (which might be extended for an additional 12 months).

a first- or second-class honours undergraduate degree AND a masters degree in general management or a business-related subject;
two personal references from academic referees confirming candidates' suitability for the programme; and
a short research proposal of approximately 2,000 words which should include the proposed subject area, the aim of the study, a summary of the research to be undertaken, an indication of any previous work completed relevant to the area under investigation, and a bibliography.

Assessment

Your PhD thesis should be around 80,000 words and will be the subject of an oral examination in which you will show both how you have critically investigated your area of research and made an independent and original contribution to knowledge.
