Course review:
This 4 day course is designed for students with no or limited experience of inspection and testing of electrical installations.
It will enable those carrying out work in domestic installations to verify their own work as required by Part P of the Buildings Regulations.
The course provides a foundation for those candidates who wish to progress to the City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate 2391-10.
This qualification is awarded to meet the requirements of the 17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2008) and is restricted to the Initial Verification process.
The qualification is gained by the successful completion of both a theory (closed book) multiple-choice online examination of one hour and forty minutes duration and a two hour practical assessment.
Course Content
- Requirements of the Electricity at Work Regulations
- Inspection of new work
- Completion of an Electrical Installation Certificate, Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate, Schedule of Inspections and a Schedule of Test Results.
- Approved test methods
We strongly recommend that candidates have the City & Guilds 2382 prior to taking this course, though this is NOT a mandatory entry requirement.
