Course Description:
This is an introduction to teaching Literacy or Numeracy in the Lifelong Learning Sector and is suitable for those who are currently teaching and those who intend to teach Skills for Life Literacy or numeracy within the sector.

Description Breakdown:
The course has 5 major sections:
Understanding the role, responsibilities and boundaries of the teacher in the LSS
Understanding teaching and learning approaches in Literacy or numeracy
Literacy or numeracy session planning and preparation
Delivering inclusive and motivating sessions
Assessment and recording of progress

The course has two main assignments one practical and the other theoretical. Both parts of the assessment must be successfully completed to achieve the award.
