The Transition course will provide you with information about Playwork. Playwork is a method of working with children and young people. Playworkers help to create the right space, leaving children free to direct their own play in a safe, but not a restrictive environment. The course is aimed at those who already have attained a Level 3 CCLD / childcare qualification.

Understand Aspects of Play work Practice - The Play environment, identify resources, loose parts, teamwork etc.
Understand the Theories underpinning Play work practice - Key Legislation relating to the play environment, play types, play cycle etc.
There is no workplacement required for this award.
