CACHE Level 2 Cert - Introduction to Early Years (Mature Students)

Who is this course for?

If you are passionate and dedicated to working with children then this is the course for you. You will build up a comprehensive range of knowledge and skills to help you reach your goal of working with children.

What qualifications or experience do I need ?

Ideally learners should be at least 19 years old. Literacy at Level 2 is required.

What will I study ?

Early Learning and Childcare Mandatory and optional pathways. One day a week in college plus independent study using an e-portfolio. Students will need to show competence in both knowledge and skills. Carry out a minimum of 12 hours placement a week.

How will I be assessed ?

Internal assessment by a range of methods including direct observations, e-portfolio of evidence, written assignments and a set of tasks set by CACHE. 10 assignments, produce professional development folder, 1 observation and 1 professional discussion. Please ensure you bring to your interview a handwritten personal statement of approx. 200 words about why you want to work in Childcare

What qualifications could I achieve ?

The Certificate will require 35 credits.
