CACHE Level 3 Early Years Educator (for 16-18 students)

Who is this course for?

This one year qualification is designed to help learners build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from birth to 5 years and gain knowledge of children aged 5-7 years. This course is aimed at leaners 16+

What qualifications or experience do I need ?

5 GCSE's - English Grade C or Functional Skills L2

What will I study ?

1 Year course made up of 23 mandatory units. The criteria for the 23 units will be covered holistically under the following themes: Theme 1 - Health & Wellbeing Theme 2 - Legislation frameworks Theme 3 - Play development and learning for school readiness Theme 4 - Professional development

How will I be assessed ?

Internal assessment by a range of methods including direct observations, e-portfolio of evidence, written assignments and a set of synoptic assessment tasks set by CACHE. You will also need to show competence in a real work environment. Full achievement of the qualification will not be possible until ALL components are complete. Please ensure you bring to your interview a handwritten personal statement of approx. 200 words about why you want to work in Childcare

CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care (EYE)
