Camera & Sound

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the technical and creative use of camera, light and sound. You will learn the key techniques, creative approaches and organisational skills involved in camera and sound recording. You will work collaboratively in groups throughout the course, giving you an insight into an essential part of the production process.

• To understand and be able to apply the use of camera, sound and light in a co-ordinated way
• To acquire good individual and team working practice on professional, interpersonal and ethical levels
• To gain technical knowledge and confidence in using filming equipment
• To develop a critical understanding and practical use of the basic rules of film grammar and narration through working on practical camera assignments
