Canine First Aid - September: Site Broomfield Hall

Course Content: The course covers many first aid procedures including scene assessment and barrier use, CPR and rescue breathing, choking, control of serious bleeding, shock management, spinal injury management, splinting for fractures and dislocations, bandaging minor wounds and more. How will I be assessed? Assessment is by observation of your practical performance throughout the day. Are there any additional costs or specialist equipment required? Pens and paper will be required. You should wear sensible flat footwear and trousers/jeans. The College's own equipment will be used on the day. What can I do after this course? Your Canine First Aid qualification will need refreshing/renewing in three years, which will keep you up to date with current methods of first aid. You may wish to participate in further canine training that the College offers to enhance your knowledge.
