Course programme
You'll learn about medical emergencies that children face and how they differ from adult conditions. The curriculum also includes the importance of attending to basic emergency situations with children, the emotional aspects of caring for children, secondary care for children, and preventing common injuries and illnesses in children.
What are the Prerequisites for the Care for Children Instructor Course?
You need to be a Emergency First Response Instructor or similar, be 18 years old and hold a certificate in Child and Infant First Aid and CPR. This can be arranged through us.
What will I be Able to Do?
You will be able to teach all aspects of First Aid and CPR for children and infants. Courses such as the 12 hour Paediatric course that is approved by OFSTED and the Automated External Defibrillator for children.
How Long Does the Care for Children Instructor Course Take?The Care for Children Instructor course takes approximately 4 hours and can be taught as an add on to the Emergency First Response Instructor Course.
