This course is for school leavers and adults interested in a career in construction.

- be able to follow technical drawings, building plans, and other instructions
- be fit and strong enough to carry tools and materials
Course Content
You will study Level 3 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery, Key Skills Level 2 in application of number and communications. Areas covered include:
- Health and Safety within the construction industry
- Stacking and storing materials and equipment
- The construction industry
- Produce scale drawings
- Erect complex structural carcassing
- Maintain non- structural and structural components
- Set up and use fixed and transportable machinery
All elements are assessed and must meet Construction Awards Alliance standards

- Assessment is via multiple choice examination and practical tests
- Awarding body phase test
- Portfolio of knowledge
Qualifications Gained
On completion of the course students will have gained a Technical Certificate Level 3 Diploma in Carpentry & Joinery qualification (Construction Awards Alliance).
