Course programme

What will I learn?

Learn the theory for a Level 2 Diploma at college and the practical skills in the Work place to achieve an NVQ Diploma Functional Skills literacy and numeracy at Level 1 will also be required to complete the framework

How will I be assessed?

Students will be assessed for their NVQ Diploma both on site and with an e-portfolio of evidence A college based Diploma will be assessed by undertaking online tests, carrying out observed practical tasks and the completion of assignments

What may it lead to?

Students can progress into full time employment as a Site carpenter or Bench Joiner Progression is into an advanced level Apprenticeship

Entry Requirements

An initial diagnostic test with the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) and Canterbury College to ascertain that the standard of literacy and numeracy is appropriate for this Level 2 course
