CCTV Installation

This action packed workshop-based course is designed for those who
wish to enhance their skills in the installation of the latest analogue
and digital CCTV equipment - including IP technology - used in today's
security industry.

Course Content:

  • Review of the base video signal
  • Setting up and applying function switches on cameras
  • Selecting and installing appropriate lens and camera combinations
  • Configuring day and night cameras with appropriate filters
  • Establishing masking and tour set up and programming of dome cameras
  • Wiring a fully functional camera (PTZ) using Kopex and multicore cabling
  • Applying active and passive baluns to CAT5 cabling circuits
  • Installing cameras over long runs of coaxial cable
  • Setting up and installing multiple cameras into DVRs
  • Calculating necessary storage for given applications
  • Best practice set up and termination procedures for display screens
  • Using oscilloscopes
  • Using pattern generators
  • Using cable length meters
  • Configuring IP network cameras and CoDecs
  • Programming and installation of video analytical equipment
  • Health and safety.
