CCTV (PSS)
As a result of the Private Security Act (2001) any contracted cctv operator cctv system that operates in public spaces must hold a valid SIA licence. This SQA National Progression course satisfies the requirements of the SIA for contracted operators to prove their competency.
The benefits of choosing an SQA National Progression Award is that the exam is online and results are given to all candidates at the end of the test. Pointer has been delivering this course to Universities, Shopping Centres and Car Parks.
We have professional experience in designing and installing CCTV systems so it is only natural that we now provide professional training in CCTV systems. Our course can combine the required syllabus of the course along with practical training on your existing systems.
Course Content
This is a four day course (min 30 hours) as per the requirements of the SIA. There are nine sections for the theory (Part 1) and a number of practical scenarios to work through (Part 2)
Flexibility
We are able to offer this training over 2 or 4 weeks. Our preferred delivery method is 2 days per week over 2 weeks. We can accommodate up to 8 people on one course. We can also deliver the training in our dedicated training suites in Glasgow.
Successful candidates will receive a Scottish Qualifications Authority National Progression Award in CCTV Operations (Public Space Surveillance). This is normally 2 weeks after the course.
