Ceramics and Pottery - Improvers
Improvers
Summary
This course is a natural progression from the previous one in which students will learn some new advanced forms of pottery including the use of molds (learning how to make your own) modelling the human form and experimenting with glaze combination and surface decoration. Part of the first session will be used to assess the level of experience students have achieved in previous study/workshops.
About the Course
In this course the students are very much in control of what they produce, setting themselves goals at the beginning of the course and working towards them at their own pace, perhaps travelling down the unexpected tangent along the way.Students will be learning from each others achievements and mistakes. There is one topic set by the tutor which can be interpreted by the individual, this will be discussed in the first week of term.
