Description:
This course is for complete beginners and consists of five units at certificate level and five at diploma level, including IT principles and a selection from word processing, spreadsheets, databases, using the internet, presentation graphics, desktop publishing. (Three units are required at level 1 to achieve the full certificate, and three units at level 2 to achieve the full diploma). Full time students also study key skills for three hours a week. The core key skills include communication, application of number and information technology, and the wider key skills include improving own learning and performance, working with others and problem solving.
