Forensic accountants usually investigate and analyse financial evidence, develop computerised applications to assist in the presentation and analysis of the evidence presented, communicate their findings in the form of various reports and assist in the legal proceedings in court as an expert witness. They interpret, summarise and present complex financial information in a manner which is both easily understandable and properly supported.
Due to increased awareness and intolerance about fraudulent activities , the demand for forensic account has increased. Forensic accountants are employed by lawyers, law enforcement agencies, public and private companies, government organisations and financial institutions.
