Understanding Organisations & the Role of HR

This module provides an introduction to the role of human resources within an organisation and the environmental context. By the end of this module the learner will have developed their understanding of how HR activities support an organisation’s strategy and assist the achievement of business objectives and how these are shaped by internal and external factors.



Recording, Analysing and Using Information

This module develops the learner’s understanding of the important contribution that accurate data can make to human resources. It covers the legal implications of collecting, storing and using personnel data and will enable the learner to record data and information and to interpret, analyse and present information clearly and accurately in an appropriate format in support of decision-making to meet organisation-wide objectives

Course overview Do you have a keen interest in Human Resources? Are you interested in the way a company works? Are you organised and enthusiastic? This qualification is designed as a general introduction to human resource management equipping you with a wide range of practical HR skills. It is appropriate for anyone wishing to develop a career in HR or for line managers/team leaders wishing to extend their knowledge of personnel good practice, whilst gaining a recognised qualification. Throughout the course you will study a wide variety of topics including: developing yourself as an effective HR practitioner, understanding organisations and the role of HR, recording, analysing and using HR information, resourcing talent, supporting good practice in performance and reward management and delivering learning and development activities The programme includes a Study Skills Workshop, full online tutorial support and access to a range of electronic text books At a recent quality assurance visit the CIPD expressed ‘high confidence’ in the quality of our provision and as a result have awarded us direct claims status for Foundation and Intermediate qualifications. This means we can claim your certificate as soon as you complete your qualification rather than having to wait for an external verification visit from CIPD, speeding up the whole process.
