Description:
This course is designed to give you the knowledge and understanding of the key principles relating to basic calculations and preparation of both weekly and monthly payroll, using manual routines and completing year end routines. This course is normally studied in conjunction with the IAB Certificate in Computerised Payroll.

Part Time Level 2 : 1 evening for 35 weeks - 2 hours per week

This level is suitable if you want to develop your skills as a payroll clerk, work in the payroll environment, or if you are returning to work in the payroll environment. This qualification has two separate units of 17 weeks each. Each unit is externally examined.

Part Time Level 3: 1 evening for 35 weeks - 3 hours per week

This level is suitable if you want to go on to work as a payroll administrator. You will need good payroll skills and practical payroll experience to perform advanced routine and non-routine tasks. Each unit is externally assessed.

Progression:
Level 2: Manual Payroll level 3 or Computerised Payroll level 2

Level 3: Computerised payroll level 3, AAT qualification.

Entry Requirements:
Level 2: Basic numeracy and communication skills

Level 3: Good numeracy and communication skills, and Certificate in Manual Payroll level 2.
