2. Course description This Chemistry specification is a stepping stone to future study, which has been designed in consultation with universities, to ensure this specification allows students to develop the skills that they want to see. This approach has led to a specification that will help you to inspire students, nurture their passion for chemistry and lay the groundwork for further study in courses such as chemistry, medicine and pharmacy. A-level Chemistry is a requirement for many University courses – particularly Science-related courses. It demonstrates that you are numerate and good at problem-solving. It is also a great deal of fun and very visual.
