The BSc(Hons) degree in Child and Adolescent Mental Health is a post registration course for professionals who are either new to working with children, young people and families or who are seeking to build upon recent experience through the attainment of a recognised specialised qualification. Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health is a new programme developed in response to local and national policy relating to the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Practice. It aims to enable different professional groups working within the field of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to enhance their existing practice and develop specialist knowledge and skills. This course was developed in close partnership with colleagues from clinical practice to ensure relevance for students. A range of subject material, innovative teaching, learning and assessment strategies and the personal development planning opportunities embodied within this programme will furnish the practitioner student with skills to react to these demands and also foster lifelong learning opportunities.

Entry Requirements 2017/18 Potential students will need to have successfully completed a core professional qualification e.g. nursing, social work, occupational therapy, health visiting, school nursing, teaching or counselling, or be working as a practitioner in a relevant field.
