Objectives & Course Content

  • The intensive briefing will look at:
  • What is child abuse
  • The definition of "significant Harm"
  • Identifying abuse/associated behavioural changes
  • Recognising the signs
  • Legislation and Best Practice's In safeguarding
  • How to manage a disclosure and the process of "telling someone".

The training will be mostly "lecture" although a large group exercise will be undertaken to show attendees the complexity of investigations, following disclosure.

Certification

Course participants will be issued with a certificate of attendance
