About the course
Are you looking for childcare training or a job as a nursery assistant, childcare or pre-school worker, or youth worker? Then an Apprenticeship in Childcare and Young Peoples Workforce at City College Plymouth could be your ideal starting point. Childcare, early years development and youth work are more than just play these careers require patience and a commitment to continually improve the standards of childcare provision. This Apprenticeship will give you the opportunity to earn and learn at the same time and will also teach you about current law, child development and, perhaps the most important of all, PLAY! We offer Intermediate Apprenticeships which are equivalent to GCSEs, or Advanced Apprenticeships which are equivalent to A Levels. Both of our Apprenticeships in Childcare and Young Peoples Workforce combine working and training under supervision in a childcare, health and social care or youth work setting, depending on your career aspirations. You will learn through a combination of on-the-job training and assessment, and attendance at City College Plymouth.
