Children's Care, Learning & Development NVQ Level 3

Course Overview
This course is designed for more experience staff working with young children in a variety of situations including pre'school groups, nurseries and schools. Candidates must have a degree of responsibility and autonomy in the workplace.

Course Structure
1 year course. Attendance at all workshops as detailed at start of course.

Qualification Aims
Completion of the course produces a nationally recognised level 3 childcare qualification. Enabling, candidates to work unsupervised with children 0-16 years.

Following further experience and extended employment responsibilities, they will be able to undertake Professional Development Awards or progression on to the level 4 managers award.

Assessments/Examinations
Assessor observation of skills in practice and portfolio evidence collecting

Cost / Equipment
Year 1£535 (if it extends into a 2 year course a second fee of£535 is payable). Free tuition is available to those in receipt of certain means tested benefits or totheir un-waged dependants.
