The advanced level apprenticeship is for those who work on their own initiative, and is suited to nursery nurses, playgroup leaders and childminders working in their own home (etc) Learners need to be employed in a Nursery Setting and attend college one day a fortnight

What will I learn?

You will study: early learning and childcare social care learning; child development; and support services This course prepares you to become an Early Years Educator, enabling you to work with newborns to five-year-olds (and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years) Functional Skills ICT Level 2 is also delivered alongside this qualification

How will I be assessed?

You will put together a portfolio, which is used to monitor and assess your work

Successful students can progress on to higher-level diplomas Early Years It also enables you to work as an early years educator

Entry Requirements

You need to have GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above before commencing the Apprenticeship
