The CIPD Level 5 is designed to provide a bridge between the CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificates and postgraduate level study in human resource management. It will provide you with a set of transferable business skills that can be used to improve performance and effectiveness in today’s competitive environment.
The course comprises of core and common option modules plus a range of specialist human resource management and development option modules. The modules develop many of the themes studied at level 3 to a greater depth and provide a firm grounding in the academic skills that graduates would have acquired while studying for a degree. Although the course content is delivered in the classroom the emphasis is on the application of the theory, knowledge and skills into the workplace. Your employer will benefit as you progress throughout the course from your increasing awareness of the business environment in which the management and development of human resources takes place, and from the coursework you undertake as part of the programme.
