About this course

A minimum tariff score of 220 UCAS points made up of a minimum of two A2 Level Grades (or equivalent) or a minimum of one 12 or 18 unit qualification (such as a BTEC National Certificate or a BTEC National Diploma).

You must have GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above, or Key Skills Communication and Application of Number at Level 2.

The BA (Hons) Human Resource Management course aims to provide you with the knowledge and understanding of human resourcing theories and their strategic application to organisations operating within a changing global and highly digitised environment.

Through the use of a range of concepts, approaches, research techniques and e-learning forums, the course intends to equip you with a range of personal and intellectual skills in preparation for a career in the human resourcing or general management fields.

On completion of the course, you are expected to be able to:

  • Understand and apply the fundamental concepts, principles and contemporary theories of HRM.
  • Assess the impact of changing internal and external environmental forces on organisations’ people management practices.
  • Formulate, implement and evaluate HRM strategies, plans, models, relationships, tasks and roles within complex and dynamic global business environments.
  • Develop and strategically apply recognised human resourcing techniques within a digital forum.
  • Apply qualitative, quantitative and ICT skills to enhance your own effectiveness and that of others.
  • Acquire a range of people management skills which will be attractive to employers, both inside and outside the human resourcing profession at a local, national and international level.
