Course programme

This route to CIPD Chartered Membership is based on your experience as a senior HR professional rather than attendance at training days, undertaking written assignments and exams. You must have worked in a managerial position for the last five years, three of which must be in HR. You will have to provide a range of work-based evidence demonstrating competence across the four fields of the Professional Development Scheme (PDS).

Successful completion leads to Chartered Member of the CIPD (MCIPD), with the possibility of immediate upgrade to Fellow of the CIPD subject to your level of HR and management experience.

By choosing BPP you will be putting yourself in the hands of a leading provider, having been approved by the CIPD to approve our own PAC candidates (without further validation by the CIPD). At an initial meeting a PAC adviser will assess your experience and ability to provide the necessary evidence, and advise you on the best route to take, be it PAC, PDS or a combination of the two.

BPP offers:

* PAC routes that reflect your level of experience

* flexibility - we fit in with your schedule

* extensive support from dedicated, approachable and experienced staff - all CIPD qualified

* possible completion within 12 months
* advisers who have been accredited to accept new PAC candidates without additional paperwork for the CIPD

Tailored in-house programmes

All our CIPD programmes can be tailored to your organisation's needs and run at one of our study centres or in-house, anywhere in the world. Learning materials, workshops, case studies etc can all be customised within the overall course framework to give greater relevance to the specific workplace.

How is the programme taught?

BPP offers two PAC routes:

* Standard
* Executive

The Standard route involves a series of one-to-one meetings held at one of our venues with a designated PAC adviser, who will help you assemble your evidence along with a narrative to put it into context before it is assessed.

The Executive route means we come to you and is often shorter. This is ideal if you have significant experience and access to evidence across the four fields. One of our assessors will come to your work place after you have received intensive support from an adviser, who will assist you with construction of your evidence. The narrative element for this route will be examined verbally.

The PAC route can be completed considerably quicker than other routes, though this will depend upon personal motivation and commitment. Completion will also be dependant on the PAC route undertaken and the number of fields your experience is being assessed against. Typically the standard PAC route for all fields will take around twelve months, although this is dependant upon your ability to provide the required evidence. The initial support period provided is for 12 months.

Programme dates

This route is based on your experience as a senior HR professional rather than attendance at training days. The PAC adviser will agree any required dates to go through your evidence with you.

You may be required to attend one workshop via flexible learning for Applied Personnel and Development.
