The CIPS Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply is designed for those individuals with experience in Procurement who wish to gain additional specialist and strategic skills and gain an internationally recognised qualification which gives full membership of the institute and the right to use MCIPS letters after your name.
The course is targeted at building strategic procurement competence, giving managers the ability to formulate strategic direction and advice, in terms of change management, stakeholder management and team leadership.

Course programme

You are required to take 3 core units and 2 optional modules: Leadership in Procurement and Supply (core) Corporate and Business Strategy(core) Strategic Supply Chain Management(core) Supply Chain Diligence (option) Programme and Project Management (option) Legal Aspects in Procurement and Supply (option) The Professional diploma focuses on giving you the strategic acumen to align functional, organisational and supply chain strategies, and to devise and implement change management. The course develops your skills in areas including leadership of stakeholders, the procurement function, teams and relationship management, and project and financial management. CIPS qualifications are assessed by a 3 hour exam for each module. All CIPS modules are currently assessed by CIPS externally assessed exams and you may take exams in November, January, March, May and July either here at the College or another exam centre if it is more convenient for you. Potential Students should have achieved the CIPS level 5 Advanced Diploma or be exempted from it by CIPS. There are no exemptions to modules available at level 6. Course fees: £400 per module (5 modules) The CIPS Graduate Diploma is accepted as academically equivalent to a good degree and is designed for those who are already working in Purchasing and Supply Chain Management.
