Course programme

Overview

You will study the following areas on the course:

  • Accident repair body principles,
  • Welding processes MIG, resistance/spot, brazing and plastic repairs,
  • Repair techniques for damaged body panels,
  • Heat shrinking,
  • Modern construction and materials used in vehicle design,

Coursework consists of theory and practical assessments of all the subjects.

Please note: you will develop body repair skills and you are encouraged to attend a work placement to develop your skills and knowledge of the body repair industry.

  • A level 1 Diploma in Vehicle Body Repair at pass or merit grade, and
  • English and maths at level 1.
