Course programme

The content of the course includes a wide range of activities and skills:

  • Lighting circuits
  • Rings and radials
  • Cooker
  • Shower circuits
  • 17th edition consumer unit installations
  • Singles and three phase motor and associated starters
  • Generators including micro generation theory.

There are several methods of assessment including practical assessments, tests and projects.


Where possible a programme of work experience will be offered giving you an insight into this specific industry.

On completion of this course you can progress onto the full time level 3 course or an apprenticeship.
