This course is designed for those learners wishing to start their career

as a holistic therapist.

You will learn about the desirable characteristics of an appropriate

treatment environment; objectives of massage treatments; benefits and

effects on the body; skin, hair types and characteristics; known contraindications;

history, origins and traditions; principles of Marma points

and Chakras; the uses of the five classical massage movements; how

massage techniques can be adapted to suit the physical characteristics of a

client; the uses of different massage mediums; methods of evaluating the

effectiveness of massage treatments; contra-actions that may result from

a treatment; aftercare advice that should be provided.
