This one-day course gives participants the necessary insight into the regulation to ensure your approved training organisation has effective compliance. The course is aimed specifically at those with limited Part-147/66 knowledge who
need the essentials to carry out their role competently.
After the course, participants will be able to:
- Apply a more flexible approach to training organisation and licence training compliance that will save money and reduce risks in the business.
- Advise their own organisations on the current regulatory (training) best practice.
- Effectively question and align processes and business practice with the requirements of Parts 147 and 66
- Have the confidence and competence to discuss Part- 147 and 66 with the EASA Competent Authority regulatory staff.
Course Overview
Managers and key post holders need a good understanding of their responsibilities under the regulations to enable them to engage the regulator better and ensure maximum business advantage can be gained.
As industry leaders we engage with EASA and other european regulators to ensure that we have the very latest thinking in terms of the intent of the Part-147 and 66 regulations and their application. During the course this latest thinking is brought to the table for participant discussion.
This entry level course then explains in simple terms how the Parts-147 and 66 link. It discusses the needs of training staff, the documentation required and the steps necessary to gain and maintain an approval.

- Introduction to the international legal environment.
- Basic introduction to the EASA Regulations structure and the rationale behind the regulations in Europe.
- EC 216/2008, EC 2042/2003, specifically focusing onto Part-147 and Part-66.
- MTOE Form 4 holder and management responsibilities.
- Running an effective Part-147 approval, the organisation, documentation, planning and control.
- Part-66 course types and requirements.
- Part-66 Licence levels (A, B1, B2 and C). Limits of these grades and building a business case for delegation.
- Section A and Acceptable Means of Compliance (AMC) & Guidance Material (GM) for illustration of how to meet the intent of the regulation.
Presentation Format
A balanced mix of group discussions, whiteboard work and PowerPoint presentations. Managed syndicate exercises afford participants the opportunity to practise the application of new processes and techniques.
