Course Overview:
This internationally recognised qualification from the Chartered Management Institute provides learners with all the key skills and competencies required to become an effective middle manager. This qualification is the benchmark for full CMI membership, and to taking another step towards Chartered Manager status. The programme is tailored to suit the individual. The range of units combines strategic management knowledge, and, skills, with the process of how managers learn and work. They are designed to enable you to develop the skills needed to meet the challenge of today's dynamic, and, competitive work environment. There is a strong emphasis on practical skills, and, their application, as well as personal and professional development. The programme aims, above all, to provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment. The course duration for the Level 5 Diploma is twenty four months . Students will be provided with Affiliate membership of the CMI through until the completion of their studies.

Entry Requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, this Level 5 Management and Leadership Diploma qualification is suitable for middle and operational managers who have responsibilities for others, possibly having other team leaders, or first-line managers, reporting to them.

Course programme
Course Delivery:
You will complete two units, 'Being a Leader' and 'Personal Development as a Manager and a Leader'. You will then select further units - with the advice and guidance of your tutor, to meet the required minimum of 38 credits to achieve this qualification. This course includes three workshops of one day duration. After which you will receive: • at least six hours 1:1 contact time with your assigned tutor. (This is for the extra units you select to meet the minimum required 38 credits). • on-going advice and guidance throughout the duration of this course. Assessment is via practical work-based assignments. This ensures you take minimum time away from work, and, that you undertake work study which is relevant to you.
